Airplane and aviation accidents
There is nothing more devastating to a community than an aviation catastrophe.
The attorneys of Pullano & Karnezis are relentless in protecting their clients during highly emotional, high profile cases such as aviation and airplane accidents. We select cases carefully to ensure each gets the attention necessary for maximized results. The firm is committed to a team approach that involves the attorneys and staff working closely with the client from start to finish. There is no “B-team.” The attorneys and staff at Pullano & Karnezis understand the key to effective representation is developing a close personal relationship with the client.
In 2007, John Karnezis won a $10.5 million settlement for a pilot who was killed in an air crash shortly after takeoff at Palwaukee Airport (now the site of Chicago-Executive Airport) in Wheeling, Illinois. At the time, the airport was owned by the Village of Wheeling and the City of Prospect Heights. Mr. Karnezis successfully argued that the municipalities failed to maintain the runway safety area in a safe condition.
Mr. Karnezis was previously a faculty member for the United States Naval Judge Advocate General (JAG) Trial Enhancement Program in Norfolk, Virginia. In this capacity, he provided counsel and expertise on several aviation-related cases.
